New Items: Summer romance

Every month, we get in a lot of new items. Sometimes they’re hot, new, and highly anticipated titles like The Battle of the Labyrinth (which, if you’re keeping track, has 283 holds at the moment), but sometimes they’re things we’ve just recently discovered, or items you’ve told us about. No matter what, it’s stuff we think you’ll like.

I know Andrea’s been posting about beach books and books that’ll make you feel the heat, but for me, summer is the season for romance. Ok, maybe that’s a little cheesy, but if you’re like me, and you like a little romance in your books and movies, you should take a look at these new items…

But he seems to come back into her life when messages he recorded before he died start showing up on her doorstep, helping to push her into a new and happy future. Brass Bed by Jennifer Stevenson

In 1811, Randall was no good in bed, and his angry girlfriend – who happened to be a magician – turned him into an incubus and bound him to a brass bed until he learns a very specific lesson. Now his bed belongs to a con man who’s offering women a very special kind of “sex therapy” – until fraud investigator, Jewel, takes matters (and the bed) into her own hands.

Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas

How to Take the Ex Out of Ex-Boyfriend by Janette Rallison

When Giovanna’s boyfriend, Jesse, defects to the other side during a school election, she doesn’t hesitate to dump him. She also doesn’t hesitate in regretting it, but even though she wants him back, she wants an apology first, and she and her matchmaking friends have a few plans to make sure he’ll see the light.

Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango) by Yoko Kamio

We’re up to volume 29 of this classic, 36 volume series. Tsukushi’s the poor girl at her elite, strictly upper-class school, and her plan is to keep her head down, not get noticed, and graduate without problems. But that’s easier said than done, when she’s fighting a war with the school’s biggest bully, and richest student AND in love with his best friend.
